Helping with the new Care Workforce pathway

The Sir Josiah Mason Trust (SJMT) and Yardley Great Trust Group (YGTG) are proud to be helping the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) in testing the new Care Workforce pathway.

This is the beginning of work by a number of nationally recognised care providers in supporting the DHSC to identify how care should be seen as a profession with key skills, values and abilities as well as a fantastic career pathway.

SJMT and YGTG are proud to help in the work and to showcase our amazing care staff and the role they play in our residential care and nursing care services.  This is an opportunity for us to thank everyone in both teams for all the work they do for our most vulnerable residents.

Zoe Richardson, Partnership Deputy CEO, is leading this work. She said: “We have always been very proud of our staff and the incredible work they do in our care services.  Care is a career!  We need to recognise that our staff are professionals with amazing skills and abilities that make a real impact on the people we look after. We are very proud to be asked to participate in this testing pilot.”
